FAQs
What is the Silk Mark Certification, and how does it guarantee quality?
The Silk Mark Certification, issued by the Silk Mark Organisation of India (SMOI), guarantees that the saree is made from 100% genuine, natural silk. For Aytrikas, this stamp ensures you are purchasing superior, unadulterated silk, guaranteeing that your "six yards dream is woven" with purity.
How should I properly care for my Aytrikas silk or hand-embroidered saree?
We strongly recommend strictly Dry Cleaning Only for all pure silk, Tussar, and hand-embroidered sarees. This preserves the fabric’s luster, prevents shrinkage, and protects the integrity of the delicate zari and threadwork. Always store your saree wrapped in a clean, breathable cotton or muslin cloth.
Will the saree be exactly identical to the image?
Due to the nature of handloom weaving, hand dyeing (like Ikat), or hand embroidery, slight, minor variations in color, motif placement, or texture may occur. These are characteristic of genuine artisan work and are proof that your saree is a unique, exclusive piece of textile art, not mass-produced.
Does the price of the saree include a stitched or unstitched blouse piece?
All Aytrikas sarees include an unstitched blouse piece attached at the end of the fabric length, unless explicitly stated otherwise (e.g., "Saree Only"). The designer blouse worn by the model in the photos is for styling reference only.
Why are some unique sarees marked as 'Limited Stock'?
Many of our pure silk and hand-embroidered pieces are one-of-a-kind, slow-woven products created by specialized artisans. Due to the intensive time and skill required, we only receive a very limited stock. If you love a piece, we recommend securing it right away!
